Health and animal husbandry officials in Andhra Pradesh have issued an alert following reports of unusual poultry deaths in certain districts. Samples were collected from affected farms and sent for laboratory testing after farmers noticed a sudden rise in bird mortality.
As a precautionary measure, authorities have intensified surveillance in nearby areas to prevent the possible spread of avian influenza, commonly known as bird flu. Veterinary teams are conducting inspections and advising farm owners on strict biosecurity practices.
