A sudden hailstorm hit several parts of Hyderabad yesterday evening, surprising residents after a long period of hot weather. Many areas in the city witnessed heavy rain along with small hailstones, which made the weather cool and pleasant.
Due to the sudden rain, traffic slowed down in busy areas and waterlogging was seen on some roads. People shared photos and videos of ice rain on social media, and the clips quickly went viral. Weather officials said the hailstorm happened because of sudden cloud formation and temperature changes in the region.
Authorities said such unseasonal rain may continue for the next few days, and people were advised to be careful during thunderstorms and strong winds. Even though the rain brought relief from heat, it also caused minor traffic problems in some parts of the city.
