M. K. Stalin, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and president of the DMK, addressed a major election rally in Trichy ahead of the upcoming Assembly polls.
During his speech, Stalin warned that if the NDA comes to power in Tamil Nadu, it could even consider renaming the state as “Dakshin Pradesh.” He urged voters to reject the AIADMK-BJP alliance, stating that such a shift could impact the state’s identity and autonomy.
Stalin also accused opposition parties of betraying minorities and failing to protect the interests of Tamil people. He emphasized that the DMK government must return to power to ensure continued development and welfare in the state.
The rally marks a strong start to the DMK’s election campaign, with the party focusing on regional pride, welfare schemes, and political stability as key issues.
