A property in Hyderabad belonging to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa has been seized by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) due to pending property tax dues.
The building, located in Srinagar Colony, reportedly had unpaid taxes dating back to 2017. Officials stated that the action was part of a drive to recover long-pending dues from property owners across the city.
GHMC authorities carried out the seizure process and placed official notices on the building. The property is registered under Jayalalithaa’s name and falls under the Yousufguda circle jurisdiction.
Officials also warned that similar action will continue against properties with unpaid taxes, emphasizing strict enforcement of municipal regulations.
