Voter Chronicle covers Indian politics, elections, government policy and public affairs. This page explains how we report and how we correct mistakes.
Independence and non-partisanship
We do not endorse any political party or candidate. Coverage decisions are made on news value and public interest, not political preference or advertiser interest.
Sourcing and verification
- We prioritise primary sources: Election Commission of India and State Election Commission notices, government press releases, court orders, gazette notifications and official statements.
- Claims made by political leaders are attributed to them and, where possible, checked against official records.
- We link to or name our sources so readers can verify information themselves.
- Numbers such as voter counts and results are checked against official data where available.
Fact, analysis and opinion
News reports present facts. Analysis and opinion pieces are clearly labelled so readers can tell them apart from straight reporting.
Use of technology
We may use digital tools, including AI-assisted tools, to help with research, drafting and formatting. Every article is reviewed and edited by our editorial team before publication, and the editorial team is responsible for its accuracy.
Corrections
When we make a factual error, we correct it promptly. Significant corrections are noted at the end of the article with the date of the correction. Minor fixes such as spelling or formatting may be made without a note.
To report an error, email contact@voterchronicle.com with the subject “Correction”, the article link and details of the error. We aim to review requests within 2 working days.
Right of reply
Individuals or organisations mentioned in our reporting may contact us to share their response, which we will consider for inclusion.
