US-based tech giant Oracle has announced a major round of layoffs, impacting nearly 30,000 employees worldwide. The move is part of the company’s large-scale restructuring strategy focused on expanding Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities and optimizing operational costs.
The impact has been significant in India as well, where around 12,000 employees are reportedly affected. According to reports, many employees received termination emails early in the morning, between 5 AM and 6 AM, without any prior notice. This sudden decision has created anxiety and uncertainty among employees.
