Delhi’s special voter-enrolment camps at colleges, universities and other educational institutions are scheduled to continue on September 30, the second day of the two-day exercise. The camps are intended to assist young electors during the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. Separately, the Chief Electoral Officer’s website identifies September 30 as the end of the displayed claims-and-objections window.
Check the roll before applying
The CEO notice asks residents to search for their names in the draft roll published on August 31. It provides searches using the electoral photo identity card number, a name or a mobile number. Eligible people whose names are absent can seek inclusion through Form 6, with the declaration required during this revision period. The notice also links to the list of entries not included and the reasons recorded.
The camp programme was announced by the Delhi election office and reported by The Indian Express and The Times of India. It brings assistance to educational institutions, but enrolment still requires an eligibility decision by the responsible election authority. Submitting a form at a camp does not itself establish that a name has been added to the final roll.
Choose the appropriate form
The official site distinguishes applications for inclusion from other requests. It lists Form 6 for new enrolment, Form 6A for overseas Indian electors, Form 7 for objections or deletion requests, and Form 8 for specified changes to existing records. A person seeking a correction should therefore check which process fits their circumstances rather than automatically submit an inclusion request.
Students can ask their institution whether a camp is operating and consult the official voter centre or election office for assistance. The statewide notice does not give a single closing time for every campus, so no uniform hour is assumed here. Applicants should retain their acknowledgement and follow the application status through official channels.
This is a practical voter-service update, separate from political arguments about the revision. The next relevant step for an applicant is the official decision on the claim and subsequent verification of the roll entry. Any extension or revised instruction should be confirmed through a fresh CEO notice rather than inferred from a news headline.
