Telangana has asked education officials to plan earlier for next year’s school supplies so uniforms and other materials can reach students on the first day of school. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy issued the direction during a review of distribution to government schools, hostels and residential schools, according to a state government statement published in September.
Current distribution position
The government says one uniform set has been distributed to students in government schools, hostels and residential schools and that a second set is expected by the end of this month. It says students at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas and model schools have received two sets. The statement describes completed distribution of notebooks and several essentials, including plates, glasses, bowls, spoons, cups, carpets, bedsheets and towels.
These are the state government’s reported distribution figures and status. The release does not provide a school-by-school inventory, so families should check with their institution if an item has not arrived. A target to distribute the remaining set by month-end is a planned step, not confirmation that every student has received it.
Planning for the next academic year
Revanth Reddy asked officials to prepare now for delivery when schools reopen next year. He told them to account for the possibility that enrolment could be 10 percent higher than the present student base. That number is a planning assumption in the state release, not a measured increase in future enrolment. Procurement, sizing, logistics and distribution will determine whether the first-day target is met.
The chief minister also proposed more attractive uniform colours and different designs. The government said parents had expressed satisfaction with the quality of this year’s supplies, but provided no survey method or count in the release. The relevant public-service test will be whether the remaining promised materials reach students and whether next year’s distribution happens on schedule.

Parents can seek confirmation from their school about the second uniform set and any missing items. Further government instructions may set out the supply schedule for the next year.
